The Craigs is a 23 acre site in Torphichen, West Lothian. The site is owned and managed by West Lothian District Scout Council.
The Craigs Camping & Training Centre was officially opened on the 18th October 1958 by Mr. Ian Rodger. The Craigs continues to deliver to the Scouting Community and other Youth Organisations a safe place to camp and train leaders.
It is nestled alongside a large natural rock face on the south side of the ancient village ofTorphichen, in the heart of Scotland. The centre provides a mix of patrol sized camp sites and larger family campsites scattered amongst mature woodland.
The site also has its very own Indian Village with 3 tepees which have proved a real hit with the younger sections and two purpose built buildings for indoor acommodation, offering traditional camping opportunities as well as fully equipped modern buildings for those wishing to enjoy more relaxed camping.
